Background:
Vake Bistro was founded in 2019 by Zurab Shonia and Mariam Iosebidze. Initially they opened Vake Market and Bistro as two interdependent companies. Bistro was preparing food for the guests, which was made from the products of Vake Market. In addition, Vake Bistro produced different jams, murabas, pickles, marinated food and others. Those products were sold in the Vake Market. The main goal of the market was to sell the products that were made by applying climate-smart methods. They looked for reliable farmers around Georgia and started cooperation with Elkana and its farmers. They made a special stand for Elkana products at their market.
Unfortunately, the Vake Market was closed shortly. However, the Vake Bistro adapted to challenges and nowadays they operate together with a restaurant Polyphonia and a small brewery Svia.

The company primarily conducts its business in Tbilisi. They buy products, which are produced in an organic and climate-smart way but are not certified (Barbale farm, Elkana and its farmers). Bistro is open for retail trade. It is located in the central district of Tbilisi and is easily accessible by public transport. Parking is available.
