Background:

The company started its activities in 1996, in Athos Square, with a store of dietary supplements, herbs, honey and breakfast items influenced by the then prevailing trends in the Italian market and the culture of a healthy breakfast. In order to supply healthy and organic products, the business owner starts his cooperation with abroad by importing organic products and at the same time develops wholesale sales. In the year 2000 the product line includes herbal cosmetics for diseases while the market of organic products begins to flourish and the company strengthens the wholesale trade and its expansion throughout Greece. In 2008, the organic shop was founded in Themistokli Sofoulis str. while in 2009 the company proceeds to renovate its two stores and change its corporate identity. The two renovated shops now combine the character of the old grocery store with that of the old pharmacy and the company goes in to the fruit and vegetables market while changing its name to Green Family.

In 2012, the company creates a dry food packaging center in Nea Raidestos where it makes its own label, packs fruits and vegetables and hosts its headquarters. In the same year a new store opens in Panorama and a little later in Rhodes, Xanthi and in Komninon str. in Thessaloniki. Gradually the business takes on the philosophy “from field to shelf " and the company motivates cooperating producers to grow products that have disappeared from the market. In the following years more stores are added in Thessaloniki, Larissa and Volos while in 2018 the company enters the Athens market. In addition, a pastry production line is created, where bread is made with special materials such as buckwheat and rice, and sold through the company’s own stores.

Today, Green Family has 9 stores throughout Greece and employs 78 employees. Its immediate plans include further strengthening its presence by opening more stores, entering the Cyprus market and achieving the "zero waste" goal.

The company operates on a national level with a central structure in Thessaloniki from where it supplies its retail stores throughout Greece.

Green Family's suppliers are mainly organic farmers and producers, whom the company supports at all stages of their production by building relationships of trust. In addition, the company cooperates with domestic microbreweries and home industries (more than 100) as well as with companies producing organic products from abroad.

The main customers are the residents of the area where the store operates and although the company is no longer engaging in wholesales, it continues to serve specific restaurants and hotels in the country.

The supply of products is carried out by transport companies, which deliver the products to the central premises of the enterprise. The supply of stores as well as the distribution of products from electronic orders / sales is carried out by the company's own means of transportation.

Services provided by the center:

The services provided by Green Family include retail sales of the products it produces and markets. The company offers business cooperation options in the form of a franchise for the establishment and operation of retail stores in Greece as well as in the form of a master franchise for the expansion in other countries. The company invests significantly in the promotion and advertising of its products (brands it trades), its stores and its franchisees (franchisees) in printed and electronic media.

Finally, it undertakes the delivery of products from the central structure to the shops and from the stores to the customers ' area.

Who the center is accessible for:

·       To sell

-       Individual organic farmers and producers, microbreweries and home companies either domestic or foreign have access to the company for the selling their products

-       Farmers and producers must possess all legal documents for their operations and all legal and acceptable certification of their products.

-       The company inspects and reviews the quality of the product and its packaging as well as the suppliers place of operation and working conditions.

-       The company will check the production capacity of the supplier to make sure the quantity is appropriate for the supply of all stores.

·       To buy

-       Company's buyers are the consumers and any retail customer who has access to its stores. In addition, in specific cases businesses such as restaurants and hotels can make wholesale purchases after consulting with the company.
